Wells Fargo made an exhaustive search of which world-renowned animation studio could bring their iconic stagecoach logo to life, and landed at Rhythm & Hues (based in large part over previous horse animations that we were able to demonstrate from our feature film work). They also wanted to maintain a sense of the painterly nature of the original canvas containing their logo. I had the privilege of producing the work for them while I was at R&H’s commercial division. We worked directly with the marketing department at Wells Fargo, and not only created the corporate piece you see here, but a couple of alternates as well as the end tag animations for their television commercials. I also wrote a basic piano piece that we placed under the animation, and once they heard it, the two became inseparable.
